Aiden at Mt. Hood (he is facing Mt. Hood, so this is the beautiful valley behind him). He is at 4000 ft.
This is the peak of Mt. Hood although it was getting darker and more clouds were settling in, so it is not as easy to see the peak. We were at 4000 ft.
Our "Southern Belle" in snow 4x her height! Aiden knew just what to do...his WI roots! :)

Our "Southern Belle" in snow 4x her height! Aiden knew just what to do...his WI roots! :)We made a quick trip to Mt. Hood today. It's only an hour away, so we had lunch at Government Camp which is a little ski town near the top of Mt. Hood. We drove to the uppermost point via a scenic drive. The kids had never seen so much snow in their lives! :) Aiden loved throwing snowballs at us, and Ava giggled in appreciation. We will go back next weekend as there is great sledding there. We need to get the kids some boots and snow gear as they have never needed that in TN and therefore don't own any winter gear. Here are some pictures from today. As you can see, Aiden enjoyed throwing snowballs!
