The Smith River ran along our campground. It was really clear and beautiful as well as refreshing. It is one of the cleanest rivers in CA and was great for swimming on one of the warm afternoons!

Part of the fun was practicing skipping rocks and in Ava's case, throwing rocks into the river!
This footbridge took us to one of the hikes we took. It was fun to walk over and not super concerning as the water was very shallow.
This is Ava walking over a shorter bridge on the way to the hike. She loved the bridges, and of course, following each bridge, we had to role play "The 4
Neudeck Goats Gruff" (our version of the classic "Three Billy Goats Gruff"). Ava is CONSTANTLY role playing wherever we go!
