Girls Weekend!

My dear friends, Amy and Ginny, came to visit for an amazing girls weekend! We covered a lot of ground, but there is so much to do in this area, that it's hard to pick which things to do in a short period of time. Brien was in charge of my kids, so we all had a weekend off from being busy moms and had a wonderful time relaxing, laughing and catching up. We went to Cannon Beach, VooDoo Doughnuts (Ginny tried the Maple Bacon Bar!...brave woman), Multnomah Falls (where we hiked in the rain!), and downtown Portland including great new restaurants, coffee shops, stores and of course, Powell's. The weekend went so quickly. It's hard to believe it's over already, but I think we all return to our lives a little more relaxed and refueled! :) Amy's brother, Matt, was coincidentally visiting Portland this weekend as well although he was touring many wineries in the Willamette Valley. We met him at his hotel, The Nines, which has a restaurant/bar on the rooftop called Departures. It was a fun place and felt more like NYC than Portland.

Multnomah Falls...beautiful even in the rain. We hiked up to the top of the falls, too. Hiking is something that we did together when we lived in CO, so it was a lot like old times.
