We made a trip to the fabric store, so Ava could pick out fabric for Grandma to make her a dress. She found the Fancy Nancy material right away, and we found a cute floral for the reverse side. Grandma measured her and they cut out the material. Grandma did the sewing, and Voila! A fancy dress unlike any other! Did Ava embrace it and love it right away? Of course not! She refused to wear it! :) BUT...as soon as everyone stopped talking about it and caring, she wore it to her first day back at her school. She could not have been more proud and told everyone the story of the fabric store, Grandma, sewing, etc... The teachers were still fussing over her when I picked her up. She LOVES her dress! Thanks, Grandma!
