Ode to Dad by Ava

This is the PRICELESS Ode to Dad that Ava made for Dad's Night at her school.  It cracks me up every time I read it for oh so many reasons.  I've known Brien for almost 12 years, and I don't think I've ever seen him fish much less bring home the fish he caught (unless he caught some Wild Alaskan Salmon at Costco to bring home).  I would completely agree that Brien is a "very nice boy" which is only one of the many reasons I love him, too. :)


"My dad is forty but he looks young.  He wears glasses to see better.  He has hair on his face and he is tall.  He has a big smile.  He works with guys.  Sometimes he goes on trips and sometimes he goes to the dentist.  The dentist tells him "nice teeth."  He likes to eat tacos and chocolate.  He likes football and to go fishing.  When he catches a fish he brings it home and we eat it.  He likes to play games and read bedtime stories to me.  He even taught me how to play Hi Ho Cherry-O when I was a baby.  He is a very nice boy."
