Aiden competed in his first piano competition today. He was a cool cucumber about it while I wanted to throw up as I sat and waited for his turn to play. :) He was last of 6 kids but told me afterward that he liked being last, so he could see what to do. That makes total sense as he has ALWAYS been like that. He observes before he does anything to avoid looking like he doesn't know what he's doing. He has done it since he was a year old! He did a GREAT job on the two pieces he played today. The adjudicator gave him really great comments and of course, constructive criticism as well, but overall his pieces were excellent! There is no photography or videotaping when an adjudicator is in the room, so here is the photo afterward. He was very proud.
