We kicked off the camping season on the coast again! This year, we went further south on the coast, and I got smart and booked a cabin! Last year, it rained the entire weekend, and we ended up coming home early. Let's face it, even if you set up a good rain fly, there is just so much a tent can do in the continuous coastal rain! The cabin had a table and two double futons, so it was still camping but included a roof over our heads. I was laying in bed smiling to myself on Friday night when it was pouring rain, and we were snug in our dry warm sleeping bags. Saturday and Sunday brought beautiful sunshine and no rain which was amazing. Here are a few photos of our cabin...

There was a 1 mile path around the lake below our cabin which we did
a couple of times. Aiden and I did it in the morning while Ava and Brien slept
which was great conversation time with my boy! |
