Rocks

We saw these break walls from the lighthouse.  They form triangle which allows the oyster barrels to be placed in calmer waters.  They date the oyster barrels when they place them and then row a boat through the rows and pick them 2 years later.  Fresh oysters are prevalent in this area.  We had a LOT of fun walking and navigating the huge rocks as well as relaxing on them with the ocean waves and sunshine.

The break walls create a safe and calm area for the oyster barrels.  The side
also makes the entry to the Umpqua River.
